Beyfortus RSV mechanism of action Campaign

Healthcare practitioner education · FDA preapproval campaign · 2023 · sanofi

THE CHALLENGE

Create a first‑in‑market educational video that could introduce nirsevimab‑alip to pediatric and neonatal clinicians, align with emerging RSV guidance, and pass stringent medical–legal and FDA review.

THE BRASS TACKS

Led copy, storyboard, and editorial development for the first practitioner‑facing explainer on nirsevimab‑alip, an infant immunization designed to prevent RSV lower respiratory tract disease. Collaborated directly with Sanofi medical directors, GSK’s European research team, and U.S. regulators to shape mechanism‑of‑action language that was both clinically precise and easy to use in practice.

THE LASTING IMPACT

Months later, Beyfortus was approved by the FDA to prevent RSV lower respiratory tract disease in newborns, infants, and young children. The clinical language and visual framework established in this video now underpin the brand’s educational style guide and practitioner communications.
