Published on the NYCity News Service Here and Here on Monday, November 4, 2024

MY GREATEST HOPE:

“I’m going to be living here for the next four years, so I hope for a safer city and for the rights of women to be upheld.”

MY GREATEST FEAR:

“It’s scary for LGBTQ people, and I identify as he/they, so I’m worried for non-binary people.”

-Izaan Masuud, 19, Two Bridges, Student, Independent

MY GREATEST HOPE:

“I hope we finally get a mayor that we can trust, that isn’t motivated by himself. I also hope for mental health services for those on the street, not jail, and less luxury housing developments.”

MY GREATEST FEAR:

“I can’t even fathom what would happen if the election doesn’t go my way. My heart broke when Trump became president last time, someone who has shown such contempt for women. I feel terrified for women.”

-Edie Nadelhaft, 62, Two Bridges, Painter, Democrat
